The city becomes an open, dialogue-oriented platform intended to spark ideas and jump-start new interaction processes. Sustainability and urban renewal are brought about through phases of growth that stimulate awareness and participation.

The citizen is at the center of our activities, which aim to enhance skills, qualities, creativity and experiences, and to encourage socialization and the sharing of values. Focusing on different targets, we create projects dedicated to everyone, becoming a creative platform to connect experiences.

ART

Art as the activation of creative processes.

Through art, we create a climate of sharing and participation, thus fostering collective involvement, promoting projects for relational public spaces and generating images of new cities. Cities Art Projects aims to be an aggregator of experiences, rooted in the territory but with an eye towards internationality, through the realization of projects, workshops and events. The objective is to contribute to the development of a society that, through art, embraces its multicultural, multiethnic identity. Projects are conceived as new forms of interaction between inhabitants and art, and at the same time as opportunities to test the boundaries of the architectural creation process.

Our projects are based on creativity, participation and multidisciplinariness. The objective is to favor the involvement of a diversified general public through projects that can foster a process of sustainability and improvement of socio-cultural conditions. We collaborate with local artists who use mainly relational techniques based on direct involvement of the public.

CAP – Cities Art Projects

Who we are

CAP – Cities Art Projects – is a non-profit organization that deals with the diffusion and promotion of themes linked to art, culture and urban renewal.

Shared values and objectives underpin our association, the core of which is a multidisciplinary team of experts from the sphere or art and architecture. We believe that these two disciplines are perfectly complementary, and that through a fluid, fertile contamination, they can contribute to a better understanding of the myriad facets of contemporary society. We carry out projects linked to culture and the local territory, teaming up with local partners and professionals in various sectors.

The idea of CAP – Cities Art Projects is to offer communities different channels of expression to promote openness and overcoming barriers and boundaries. Ideas and stimuli are given to reread their territory through participatory planning of activities and on the creation of related products born by developing mutual collaboration. Workshop paths and artistic interventions on the territory aimed at discovering the visible and invisible borders that characterize the urban spaces of different neighbourhoods.

Our activities are geared towards various targets, and for each one we want to guarantee engaged participation. The goal of CAP – Cities Art Projects is to develop in individuals a process of personal empowerment and re-appropriation of their role in society. The impact we aim to have on the stakeholders involved, in the mid- to long-term, is to encourage independent in-depth research and the activation of further processes of socio-cultural re-launching based on the stimuli provided.
